DoseOfColor - The Sunday Currently V26

Growing up, I always had this question at the back of my mind, where will life take me 10 years or 15 years from now? I’m always that kid in the class who is afraid of what will happen the following day, I’m always afraid of the future. The day came when I gathered all the courage I have and asked, what will happen to me if I come out from my shell and explore the world? One answer I got which I can’t forget is, “just go with the flow“. Go with the flow? Whats that?

Not until I went to college and leave on my own I understood what really life is. I’m not saying I have figured out everything. I just come to realise that whatever life throws at you, its either you catch it or avoid it. Its not wrong to go with the flow, but you have to remember never to forget your purpose.

There will be a time in our life where we find ourselves at the crossroads. Its up to us, if we go left, right or go straight. Whatever choice we made, own it and try to never regret whatever is the outcome, remember “at that point in time, that was what we wanted.

Photo Diary: Healthier Lunch

My 4th and final photo diary from our Malaysian get away is finally here. (slow clap) 😉 You can check my older posts here, and here and here. 😉

On our last day in Malaysia we have to travel all the way from KL to Petaling Jaya, coz I accidentally booked our return ticket from Petaling Jaya-Singapore instead of KL-Singapore. (face palm) Good thing the 2 guys (husband and a friend) I was with didn’t complain at all. Or maybe they were actually complaining from the inside. We arrived in Petaling Jaya quite early, so we still have enough time to roam around the mall, we roam around Utama Shopping Centre. Which by the way according to my dear friend wiki, “It is the largest shopping mall in Malaysia and the seventh largest in the world”. Since I was already done with my shopping back in KL my next agenda was to look for a good place to eat. Luckily, we found this organic restaurant, and we decided to have our last meal in Malaysia a lil bit healthier. Im not saying we’ve been eating crap the whole time we were their. 🙂

We had our lunch at Opika Organic Restaurant. The food was really good that according to my husband he was energised after eating, which we agree.

The way they presented the food is instagram worthy, I tell you. Unfortunately, I didn’t do justice with my photos. Anyways, Im presenting you the food that we had. The way they look, you could say its really healthy.

If you happen to be in this area, try to visit Opika Organic Restaurant. They serve really good food, its organic and it doesn’t hurt your pocket.

Reading
Finished another Julie James book yesterday, The Thing About Love. Yesterday I went to 2 bookstores and checked the latest Jenny Han’s book, Always and Forever Lara Jean unfortunately it was sold out. (as expected) Now I’m contemplating wether I should just buy a soft copy or I’ll wait for the stocks to arrive. Really, nothing beats the smell of a book.

Writing
My 25th entry to The Sunday Currently. Grocery list. Some work related items.

Listening
Thunder. Rain.

Thinking
What to have for lunch. 🙂 Should I start another drama? Should I sleep?

Smelling
Something fried. Housemates are cooking for breakfast and I’m in our room, so not sure what I’m smelling now, fried eggs maybe.

Wishing
Im in the beach right now.

Wearing
Extra large tshirt.

Loving
That I was able to run earlier. Though it was cut short coz rain decided to pour on my parade. 😉

Needing
To start reading again. Seriously, I need to catch up with my reading. I have been very focused with dramas for the last month.

Wanting
To buy Jenny Han’s new book, ASAP.

Feeling
Happy and excited.

Photo Diary: Putrajaya

The third instalment of my Malaysian photo diary goes to Putrajaya!

Putrajaya, officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, is a planned city and the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya, because of overcrowding and congestion in the former. Kuala Lumpur remains Malaysia’s national capital, and is the seat of the King and the Parliament, and is the country’s commercial and financial centre. Putrajaya was the idea of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. It became Malaysia’s third Federal Territory, after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, in 2001. Wikipedia

Below are some of the photos I snapped while strolling around Putrajaya, enjoy!

Photo Diary: Food Tripping

What is visiting Kuala Lumpur without going for a food trip. And where is the best place for that? None other than the very famous Jalan Alor! Though anywhere in KL is really a heaven for food tripping, but Jalan Alor for me ranks the 1st.

Jalan-Alor-02

Good thing the place where we stayed in is just a five cartwheels away. So, after a very tiring day we head down to Jalan Alor for our dinner and drinks. I have compiled all the food we ate during our stay in KL, not in the photos are Mee Goring which by the way I finished within 3 minutes, I was too hungry plus its really yum. Egg Prata which the husband had for every breakfast (3 days). According to him, egg prata in KL tastes different from what we get here in SG, which I couldn’t agree more. And oh, finally I got the chance to try their Roti Canai, (Plain Prata here). The look is the same from plain prata but the taste is really different, maybe the way they knead the dough? Not sure.

And lastly, what is visiting KL without dropping at Petronas Tower! As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, its my third time visiting the city, but I always see to it that I have a spare time to drop by to this gorgeous beauty.
