Photo Diary: Healthier Lunch

My 4th and final photo diary from our Malaysian get away is finally here. (slow clap) πŸ˜‰ You can check my older posts here, and here and here. πŸ˜‰

On our last day in Malaysia we have to travel all the way from KL to Petaling Jaya, coz I accidentally booked our return ticket from Petaling Jaya-Singapore instead of KL-Singapore. (face palm) Good thing the 2 guys (husband and a friend) I was with didn’t complain at all. Or maybe they were actually complaining from the inside. We arrived in Petaling Jaya quite early, so we still have enough time to roam around the mall, we roam around Utama Shopping Centre. Which by the way according to my dear friend wiki, “It is the largest shopping mall in Malaysia and the seventh largest in the world”. Since I was already done with my shopping back in KL my next agenda was to look for a good place to eat. Luckily, we found this organic restaurant, and we decided to have our last meal in Malaysia a lil bit healthier. Im not saying we’ve been eating crap the whole time we were their. πŸ™‚

We had our lunch at Opika Organic Restaurant. The food was really good that according to my husband he was energised after eating, which we agree.

The way they presented the food is instagram worthy, I tell you. Unfortunately, I didn’t do justice withΒ my photos. Anyways, Im presenting you the food that we had. The way they look, you could say its really healthy.

Photo Diary: Putrajaya

The third instalment of my Malaysian photo diary goes to Putrajaya!

Putrajaya, officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, is a planned city and the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya, because of overcrowding and congestion in the former. Kuala Lumpur remains Malaysia’s national capital, and is the seat of the King and the Parliament, and is the country’s commercial and financial centre. Putrajaya was the idea of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. It became Malaysia’s third Federal Territory, after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, in 2001. Wikipedia

Below are some of the photos I snapped while strolling around Putrajaya, enjoy!

Photo Diary: Food Tripping

What is visiting Kuala Lumpur without going for a food trip. And where is the best place for that? None other than the very famous Jalan Alor! Though anywhere in KL is really a heaven for food tripping, but Jalan Alor for me ranks the 1st.

Jalan-Alor-02

Good thing the place where we stayed in is just a five cartwheels away. So, after a very tiring day we head down to Jalan Alor for our dinner and drinks. I have compiled all the food we ate during our stay in KL, not in the photos are Mee Goring which by the way I finished within 3 minutes, I was too hungry plus its really yum. Egg Prata which the husband had for every breakfast (3 days). According to him, egg prata in KL tastes different from what we get here in SG, which I couldn’t agree more. And oh, finally I got the chance to try their Roti Canai, (Plain Prata here). The look is the same from plain prata but the taste is really different, maybe the way they knead the dough? Not sure.

And lastly, what is visiting KL without dropping at Petronas Tower! As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, its my third time visiting the city, but I always see to it that I have a spare time to drop by to this gorgeous beauty.

The Sunday Currently V24

Waaaaahhhhh…. It’s been a while since the last time I wrote for my The Sunday Currently.

Lets just say, I was busy again with nothing. πŸ™‚ Kidding, I was really having a hard time squeezing my brain out to think of something to write.

And today, I have to pull myself away from netflix (was watching another korean drama) so I can start writing for my 24th entry.

Reading
To be honest, I haven’t pick up a book since last month. I didn’t even finish After Earth by Haruki Murukami. I know, I need to visit the bookstore sooner.

Writing
Been switching from different windows, I’m writing my 24th post. I’m finishing my latest travel and food diary. Trying to squeeze work related stuff in between.

Listening
I’m listening to a local fm radio station back home, and they are currently playing 25 Minutes by Michael Learns to Rock. πŸ™‚

Thinking
Of opening Netflix and finish what I have started earlier. But, na-ahhhh.. Gotta do other stuff other than watching kdrama again.

Smelling
Coffee. πŸ™‚

Wishing
I’m in the beach. It’s summertime in PH now, and I saw a lot of my friends heading to the beach. Which had me wishing I’m back home so I could run to the nearest beach.

Wearing
I’m still in my jammies. Need I remind you that today is Sunday? :p

Loving
Everything. Life is beautiful.

Needing
To finish After Earth, its been a while since I opened it.

Wanting
To study the Korean language. I’ve been a Korean drama fan since I can remember, and its a total waste of time looking for the latest subs. So, might as well study. It’s never too late, y’know. πŸ˜€

Feeling
Happy. πŸ˜€

***The above photo was taken while we were in Putrajaya, I’ll be posting our travel diary soon.

Photo Diary: Batu Caves

The husband and I decided to travel to KL for the long weekend, without any itinerary. Anyways we’ve been to KL for 2 times, so we are a bit familiar with the city.

On our first day we decided to head down to Batu Caves, since we almost covered the city from the last time we were there.

What we expect?

We expect, that the stairs would be too high and that their will be a big temple at the top. But in reality, the stairs is really not high. (This is a personal opinion, as the two of us is used of taking high stair cases.) Their is a temple, but not as big as what we thought.

Expect to be greeted by the little creatures (monkeys) while climbing. You can take photo as long as you want, but in my case I didn’t dare, I was too afraid. We saw a lot of people feeding them, though their was a BIG signage that says DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS! Why can’t they just follow simple rules and instructions?

Below are the some of the photos we took, enjoy!

If you are planning to visit the cave any time soon, I’ve list down some friendly reminders. πŸ™‚

  • I suggest you wear a pants or a maxi skirt (ladies only). For they wont allow you to climb unless you are covered enough. If you don’t want to wear pants or maxis, no worries as you can rent a wrap around for 5RM.
  • Bring extra bottle of water, it is nice to be hydrated all the time while climbing.
  • Observe cleanliness and do not be too loud while you are there, remember its a sacred place for our Hindu brothers and sisters.
  • Lastly, please DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS.

Appreciation Post: Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

I don’t normally write and post my reactions and appreciations every time a good drama ended. For I know, I’m not good with words, I cant express my feelings well thru writing. But this time, its different. I felt like I really need to pull off my brain and write down one for Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

The very reason why I watched this drama from the beginning was because I was still having a major hang over of Park Hyung Sik from Hwarang. I felt the need to see him again in a new drama, good thing this one came in right on time.

I thought I’ll finish this drama with nothing but PSY as the reason. Forgive me for thinking this way.

The moment I finished episode 1, I was already captivated with the story line. Right then and there I knew the reason has changed. I will finish this drama because, the writers and producers is giving me a very good one.

I’ve always invest my time, effort and feelings to each drama that I watched. In this one, its totally different. I have invested so much time. I always woke up around 4 or 430 am SGT just to catch the latest episode. This only shows how hooked I am to this drama. While watching I would always take screenshots so that I can use them to post on twitter. Normally I don’t post this stuff on my social media accounts, except for FB. From time to time I’ll post some. Again, as I’ve said this time its a different story, my twitter which was created long time ago for testing purposes and didn’t bother to use is actually very busy on weekends, because of SWDBS. My Instagram which I only use for personal interactions has been a tool for me to like and comment to almost any posts related to SWDBS! Really, this drama made me into a social media maniac! Don’t worry its in a nice way, as I have gained a lot of friends online. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

So friends, allow me to thank the 3 main lead stars, cast, crew and staff for giving us this drama.

Park Bo Young

From the first time I saw you in a drama, I know you will be in my list of favorite actresses. You are such a versatile one, whatever that it is given to you, you always exceed our expectations, just as what you did in SWDBS. I really love your character, your sassiness, your quirkiness, everything about you in this drama, I simply loved it. I hope you will be given another role to showcase your talent. I cant wait to see you again in another drama. Thank you for giving your best Do Bong Soon, I will surely miss you.

Park Hyung Sik

Where will I start? I don’t know. The words are running in my mind while writing this and I don’t know how to rephrase them accordingly. Forgive me if my wordings will be rambled. Your role in SWDBS gave us a heart attack almost every episode. The way you stare at Bong Soon gave us a butterfly in the stomach, always. You have portrayed your role beautifully that sometimes I believed it is no longer Min Hyuk is talking but Park Hyung Sik itself. Personally, I fell more for you while watching this drama. You should have seen my phone, it has a lot of screenshots of you. I will always be rooting for you and I cant wait for you star in a new drama. Thank you Ahn Min Hyuk for loving our Bong Soon!

Ji-Soo

I admit, I really hate your character in SWDBS. But what can I do, it is was what was given to you, and you have pulled it off. You have proven once again how good of an actor you are. I can’t count how many times you have been the second lead, and I can’t wait for the day that you will be given a chance to be the male lead. And if that day happens, I will be their supporting you. You have always been one of my favorite actors. Thank you Gook Du for annoying the crap out of me! :p

To all the cast, crew and staff of SWDBS, thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for giving us this drama. Your hard work has given us (audience) a very good drama. Your hard work is much appreciated, again, thank you for giving us Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

Special shout out toΒ Jang Mi-Kwan a.k.a the kidnapper. Dude, you have set a very HIGH standard for those actors who will portray a kidnapper in the upcoming dramas! πŸ˜‚

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, I will surely miss you. My weekends will never be the same again. I know I have to move on from you eventually, but as of now allow me to re-watch the show over and over again.
